The lives of well-meaning Jason Jones and his friends Becky and Davey are turned upside down when Jason is awakened one night by Toby the Impaler, a Vampire, who, despite being only ankle high, can still pack a mean punch! Soon the trio are attacked by other height challenged Vampires driving giant(ish) mechanical spiders, bat-mechs, and other strange and otherworldly beings. The reason? Jason has unknowingly been chosen to become a member of the Human and Environmental Security Department of the MHU (Monster/Human Union), which is just a fancy way of saying Monster Slayer, but unfortunately for him and his friends, the Monsters found out before he did.
